        Cooperating with the country’s national economic development and following the strategies of the College of Management (Integration, Internationalization, and Industrialization, or 3I), our policy is firmly committed to cultivating financial professionals who care about humanity and society, have an international perspective, project financial job market competitiveness, and exhibit independent and creative thinking (HIFI).

Caring for humanity and society

  1. Before graduating from the university, two 1-credit “Service Learning” courses are required.
  2. Any student who lags behind in academic performance can ask for help from the teaching assistants.

International perspective

In terms of cultivating students’ international outlook, our department targets three directions:  language ability, international specialty and vision, and international academic exchange.

Financial job market competitiveness

  1. Foster practical experience and innovation through theoretical knowledge.
  2. Create credit courses in Corporate Finance and Accounting. Applicants who meet the requirements of these courses will be given a certificate upon graduation.
  3. Encourage teachers to use license books or adopt license test banks for exams.
  4. Invite more practical lecturers from related industries such as banking, securities, and insurance to help students understand current job markets as best as possible.

Independent and creative thinking

  1. Promote creative courses such as “Micro-Entrepreneurship and Financing Innovation.”
  2. Encourage undergraduates to apply for research programs under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
  3. Offer special courses for undergraduates to help students improve their research, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Arrange seminars for postgraduates to enrich their professional knowledge.
  5. Encourage teachers to conduct interdisciplinary research cooperation.

RISC Course Structure:

  1. Radical Courses and Analysis Tools: train students in the foundation of quantitative methods, economics, accounting and financial regulations, and other basic subjects.
  2. Insurance and Real Estate: instill in students the proper understanding of sources regarding business risks, control methods, and real estate knowledge.
  3. Securities Markets and Derivatives Markets: educate students about financial market trading mechanisms and how to evaluate various financial instruments and hedging derivatives.
  4. Corporate Finance and Accounting: teach students how to understand company evaluations, capital budgeting, investment and financial strategies, and accounting practices.

Integrated analysis capabilities

Cultivate and establish the basic concepts of mathematical logic and financial issues so that students can enhance their basic abilities for exploring and analyzing financial and economic issues.

Cultivate and develop a solid foundation in mathematical logic and financial issues, so that students have the advanced ability to integrate and use such knowledge in the sub-fields of banking and finance.

Financial institution management and analysis capabilities

Cultivate and understand the impacts of the macro-economy on real estate, insurance, and financial institutions and equip students with management skills, risk analysis, and planning and evaluation of real estate, insurance, and financial institutions.

Cultivate and apply professional knowledge of real estate planning and evaluation, risk management, and financial institution operations, so that students have the ability to become a part of and to analyze the financial system.

Investment management and analysis capabilities

Cultivate and understand the concepts of financial products and market mechanisms, so that students have the ability to plan and strategize over securities and derivative investments.

Cultivate and apply professional knowledge of securities and derivative markets and equip students with the abilities of investment management, market analysis, and product evaluation.

Corporate financial management and analytical capabilities

Cultivate and establish the basic concepts of corporate financial analysis and management, so that students have the ability to provide, compile, analyze, and interpret financial information for corporations’ decision-making.

Cultivate and apply professional knowledge of corporate financial analysis and management, so that students have the ability to make corporate financial diagnoses and decisions.

International outlook and foreign language capabilities

Train undergraduates’ foreign language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing and cultivate their literacy in paying attention to the overall economic situation and to international financial issues.

Cultivate postgraduates’ ability to analyze international economic situations and international financial issues, so that they can become financial professionals with a broad international outlook.
